ST. MARY’S COLLEGE OPEN TENNIS TOURNAMENT

FOURTH OF JULY WEEKEND, JULY 3-5, 2010

INAUGURAL TENNIS EVENT…BE PART OF HISTORY!!!

Divisions:   

Singles (Men’s Open, Men’s B, Women’s Open, Women’s B)
  
Doubles (Men Open, Women Open, Men’s B, Women’s B)
  
Mixed Doubles (Open, B)

Players may enter up to 3 events!! First Round Non-Winner consolation match if entries warrant!

Consolation matches to determine 3rd and 4th place! Prizes awarded to Champion and Finalist!

Important Information:

• For all members and non-members. USTA membership not required!
• Players must be available all three days due to the possibility of inclement weather.
• Match time hours: Saturday (8:30-7:00pm); Sunday (8:00-3:00); Monday (8:30-7:00)--all times and dates can change due to the possibility of inclement weather!
• All entry forms/fees must be received by 9:00pm, June 30, 2010. Draws will be posted July 1st on the St. Mary’s Tennis Association website www.stmarystennis.com
• To protect the integrity of the sport, no entries can be accepted after the DRAWS are made!

• You will be contacted by phone or email with your start times as soon the draw is completed.
• Please mail checks/Form to: SMCM-Tennis, 601 Walton Road, Huntingtown, Maryland, 20639. Fees need to be collected before match play! Please call Mr. Sabedra for payment options.
• Standard play- 2 out of 3 sets for both singles and doubles, 12 point tie-breakers, with ad scoring. Due to persistent inclement weather, the Tournament Director reserves the right  to shorten matches to prosets, no ad scoring, and 10-point tie-breakers in lieu of the third set. Wilson Championship tennis balls to be used.
• Possible rain dates: July 9 and July 10!
• Vending food and soft drinks machines on site. Gatorade to be sold. Water provided free!!
