Mystery Doubles is one of our more popular events, typically held once or twice each year. This event combines mixed doubles competition with a pot-luck style party where players can eat and socialize between and after matches.
Eac h mystery doubles event is limited to 10 men and 10 women, with a wait-list for additional registrations. At the start of the event, names are drawn at random in order to form mixed doubles partnerships. Teams then play short-sets against other teams in a round-robin format. Wins and losses are tracked and fun prizes are given out to the top teams.
Cost per person is $5. In addition, players are asked to bring a dish for the pot-luck. Drinks are provided.
The first Mystery Doubles event for 2010 was held on July 10th, and was run by Alan Turrill.
